Student Equalities Forum

The student association would like to announce that it will be running a new Student Equalities Forum:

  • The forum will be a  place for students to come together and discuss all things equality and diversity.
  • The forum will have the responsibility for evaluating campaigns, projects and initiatives of the student association to improve representation of liberation groups.
  • From the forum, your elected student officers will take your feedback and directly input at the college Equality and Inclusion group.
  • This would also be a place where students could create policy for the student association.

Membership:

The membership of the forum is open to self-defining students under the following characteristics:

  • LGBT+
  • Mature (25 years and over)
  • Black and Minority Ethnic
  • Women and Non-binary

Meetings:

There will be at least one meeting per academic block which will be chaired by a sabbatical officer in the first instance or an executive officer that has been deputised. If no officers are not available, then a student association staff member will stand in.
