It has been a fantastic night seeing some of the amazing work the students and staff of Forth Valley College have done over the past year, so it was a real surprise to win against such brilliant stories and I feel very humbled. I've really loved my time at college, particularly being with my super-talented classmates and the best lecturers I could ask for.”

It wasn’t just a night to celebrate award winners, a number of FVC students volunteered to help out at the event which gave them valued experience and opportunities. Sound Production student Liam Hardie (20), kicked off the evening by performing two Johnny Cash songs and classmates Samantha Jarrett (19) and Emma Wilson (19) set up and managed the audio for the event.

Andrew Kinnell, Student Engagement Coordinator, said: “On behalf of the entire Student Association team, I want to say congratulations to all the winners and nominees - you make Forth Valley College a great place to study and work.

“I would like to thank all the staff who contributed to the event and to all the parents, carers, friends and family who came along to celebrate the amazing achievements of Forth Valley College students and staff. Furthermore, I would like to thank the outgoing Vice-President, Claire Green, who did a great job co-hosting the evening. Claire has been with FVSA for the last two years and has worked tirelessly to improve the Student experience at the college during this time. We all wish Claire the very best for the future.
