FVSA Opportunities

There are various ways to get involved with the student association!

Class Reps

One of our largest group of volunteers is our Class Reps. They are invaluable volunteers which feedback important information about what is happening in their classrooms and departments. They receive training and recognition for all the hard work they do. If you want to find out what it takes to be a class rep or how to be one - jump over to this page to find out more...

Executive Officers

Every year, our members, all FVC students, can vote to elect a half dozen of students to work as your Executive Committee.

At the start of 2021 / 2022 term, we have implented the new Executive Officer Restructure. Click here to view what the restructure will look like.

Each Executive Officer looks after a specific area in the association and will work to improve the student experience in Forth Valley College by listening to your needs and lobbying the College in order to make change happen. Executive Officers help with the day to day running of the association and works as the decision-making body between Student Councils in the academic year.

Society Convenor/Member

Any of our members can start or join a student-led club or society - or even start one!

As a convenor, you would look to organise meetings and any events that club or society members would like to run. You do get support from association staff and from the other members in the group. You can devote as much time you have as some clubs only meet once a month or simply use an online platform. Find out more about our current groups here and how you can start one of your own!

*Elections Committee Member* (New for 2021/2022)

We look for one volunteer for the full Academic Year to take part in the FVSA Elections Committee. We want to involve more students in the Elections process and want to elevate the student voice in our structures and processes.

The Student Volunteer on the newly formed Elections Committee shall help ensure all candidates that are running for a paid or voluntary position adhere to the rules set out in Schedule 1 of the FVSA Constitution and Elections Guidebook.

The position for the 21/22 term has now been filled by Kirstie Young.
